End month

In a few minutes, it's gonna be the end of the world. Kidding. It's gonna be the end of the month of May. And the next -- my month. JUNE.

I'm excited of course. 20 days, that is, and I'm gonna be 22 years old! What I'm looking forward is how am I gonna be celebrating AT WORK. It falls on a wednesday, though. So I'll be here at work. I'm wondering how was that gonna be. I'll keep you posted.

I will be posting my 20 wishes everyday, starting later. HAHA! Wala lang, just to keep me busy everyday until my birthday.

Something funny this time.

My Mama is not a comedienne. But early this morning, pagkauwi ko...

Mama: Wag!
Ako: Bakit?
Mama: May orange juice yan!

We always have orange juice and fresh buko juice sa fridge. Pffft.

Looking forward to coffee-buko juice mixture. HAHA! Love you, Ma!♥

Twitter. Haters. Opinions. Bashers.

We are entitiled for our own opinion. It's our right. We live in a democratic country. We're free to say our opinion and hold responsibility on it. But, FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, if you will be bashing other person, then that's a totally different story.

For example, with the latest 'trend' on twitter regarding Chief Justice Corona on trial, we CAN 'tweet' our opinion about the trial and what you want to say about what happened. But good lord, why do people have to tweet other people nagatively about what they said about the trial? It's what they think about the trial, it's what they wanna say (or tweet), and if it contradicts your opinion then at least keep your mouth shut (or don't tweet at all.)

People, we can tweet whatever we want. But using it for directly insulting other people? Better quit and shut it.

For that person whom I just witnessed tweeting people directly just to bash someone regarding the opinion she had about the trial, come on, shut it. I know how educated person you are. I know you. So please, don't let a single tweet change the impression of other people towards you. Not unless, you're showing the REAL you. *wink*

just concerned,
Nikki

F.R.I.E.N.D.S

I'm not pertaining to the famous TV program F.R.I.E.N.D.S, though. I'm pertaining to MY group of friends.

I have my highschool friends. Most of them was when I was in 4th year highschool wherein up until now I have keeping in touch with. We are a mix of boys and girls (and bakla at tomboy) but we're getting along so well. Most of our bonding moments are inuman. Kasama na dun yung kwentuhan since we have our own work and 'life' now. Some of us are already married, some of us are still single (including ME.) but it doesn't matter. We make it a point though that we see each other once in a while, for whatever occasion that is. We call ourselves "laurelians" (IV-Laurel kasi kami nung highschool.) Corny, I know. Pero that was almost 6 years na, and we stick to that. :)

COLLEGE. I've been friends with these girls for almost 6 years na rin. We're 10 in the group. We've been together through thick and thin. We call ourselves PakU (Pakwan's United). We are originally "Pakwans" but due to some unfortunate events, we changed it to Pakwans United. Unlike with my highschool friends, PKU (Pakwan's United) we're able to witness me grow -- from a shy Little Nikki to a grown-up one. I was able to learn a lot from these girls, was able to witness trials at school and successes. Ups and downs, 'heartbreaks', name it, we witnessed it. We still get in touch, and our bonding moments -- Movies. And still looking forward to more bonding moments. I JUST LOVE THESE GIRLS. ♥

WORK. Here at the office, most of my friends are boys. So minsan napapaisip ako minsan kung bakit kailangan ganun. Owell, ganun daw talaga pag tumatanda na. HAHAHA!!☺

best dressed LIE (with ribbons pa!)

I don't wanna discuss this (as much as possible) with my friends, or if they want, I'm here to listen naman. Last May 5,  we actually planned to visit my friend who gave birth to a baby girl. The three of us met at SM North, had a quick lunch at Tokyo Tokyo. Suddenly, there was a heavy downpour. Edi ano pa ba, nagka-tamaran na. We watched a movie instead :))

We stayed at KCC (Acronym lang yan. I forgot the name talaga.), had a little chitchat about boys and lovelife. One of my friends has a crush with this guy at work kasi and dun umikot yung usapan. Hanggang sa yung isa ko pang friend ay nag-open na ng nangyari sa kanya when we're in college.

I don't wanna elaborate more. Umiikot ito sa PANLOLOKO. That's the only time we talked about it since it was revealed to everyone in our group. I barely know about it. I know it 'existed' but that's it. I don't know anything behind the curtain.

As far as I can remember, hindi nila ginawan ng masama yung %$&*^$ manlolokong yun. Grabe talaga.

"Accept everything about yourself -- I mean everything, You are you and that is the beginning and the end -- no apologies, no regrets."

It’s not too late for a Summer Outing

Canyon Cove is located in Nasugbu Batangas. We took a bus from Pasay (nearby Taft Avenue Station) and it took approximately 3 hours for us to reach Nasugbu and from there, we rode a tricycle going to the front lobby of the resort. A bus ride from Pasay to Nasugbu costs P155 and P50 for a tricycle ride.

The place is beautiful, perfect place to relax and have a day out of the busy city life. The rooms are luxurious that you can definitely have your state of peace and harmony. The staff will welcome you with a smile and offer the best of their service. Cleanliness is a must and should follow proper orders to maintain the cleanliness of their amenities. The white sand beach will welcome you as well that you can enjoy with your family, friends and loved ones.

Accommodations include Superior and Deluxe Rooms, and Suites designed for a high level of comfort. We had a Superior and Deluxe unit located in the fifth floor featuring a balcony wherein you can have a perfect view of the pool, the garden and the South China Sea.

We did enjoy water sports such as snorkeling and kayak. But there are other water sports activities available like Jet Ski, banana boat, skim board and pedal boat. White sand beach calls you in to have a dip in the beach though it is advisable for you NOT to walk on barefoot. There are stones and shells in the seashore and we want to avoid unnecessary wounds and scratches in the middle of our enjoyment, right?

The swimming pool is extremely maintained and seems like it always invites you to dive in. Shower areas (that is, before you hit the pool) is always available for everyone. Mind you, you can use the cabanas for free. There is a section in the pool for the kids so parents don’t have to worry for the safety of their child.

Other amenities are available such as Island CafĂ© restaurant, Blu Bar and Al fresco grill and for the kids; children’s playground is located near the pool area. There is a beach volley area as well, and soon to open fitness gym and wellness spa. WiFi is also available in the lobby for those who want to share a photo.

With an impressive facilities and services, Canyon Cove is a nice and perfect place to go to. Cool for kids, a thumbs-up for adventurous people who would want to try the water sports and a nice getaway for couple too. It’s an absolute leisure indeed.

The Avengers

Initially, pinlano naming manood ng The Avengers nung April 28 (kung di ako nagkakamali). Unfortunately, wala nang tickets available so we went to Metrowalk instead and have a drink. I was with my Buddy Joel, Krizzy, Whackz, Mawee and Cindy. Though Jay was with us as well at earlier time but he didn't go with us sa Metrowalk anymore.

Second attempt, yesterday morning. Akala namin yun na yun e. Pero hindi e. Another failure arises. Nasa sinehan na kami e, naka-upo na, with our popcorn and soda on the side, and our 3D glasses on. And then after an hour yata, biglang.. MADILIM. Nag-brown out. And here's the irritating part - ang Eastwood Mall, walang generator! Nakakaloka. And what we have to do is have our refund and it's up to us kung gusto pa naming manood but we have to wait until 3pm. We opted to go home na lang.

BUT.

We had another plan. Tomorrow, before our respective shifts, manonood ulit kami. HAHA!!

xoxo,
Nikki
